Electrical/Controls Engineer
Leamington Spa, Warwickshire
£47,700 - £52,000
Double Days 39 Hours Per Week Some Day Shifts

We are looking for an electrical/controls engineer to join our manufacturing facility in Leamington Spa. This role will be a mixture of both PLC controls fault finding and modification and reactive/planned maintenance on industrial machinery.

This role is ideal for an electrically bias maintenance engineer with PLC fault finding/modification experience looking to progress into a controls engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative and corrective maintenance tasks across site equipment.
  • PLC Modification/Fault Finding Programming not required
  • Perform diagnostics, testing, and system debugging on a range of equipment including robots and field devices.
  • Maintain site facilities (e.g., boilers, chillers, compressors, lighting, fire systems, building infrastructure).
  • Ensure accurate documentation of all maintenance activities in our computer systems.
  • Support commissioning and development of new equipment or plant modifications.
  • Uphold high standards of safety, hygiene, and organisation in the maintenance department.
  • Ensure smooth shift handovers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting to end users.


What We Are Looking For:

  • Hands-on experience with robots and PLC Interrogation
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical electrical drawings.
  • Resilient under pressure, with excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of health & safety and environmental best practices.
