An opportunity to join a team working as a senior communications officer creating engaging and creative content with a heavy focus on implementing integrated communications campaigns and communications plans. Client Details A local government organisation Description To act as senior communications officer and support the Communications manager on the organisations Covid-19 response and any other Public Health or social care issues. Writing and delivering cross channel, evidence based, communication plans to manage the outbreak and spread of COVID-19 in the borough, covering both universal promotion to residents through the organisations core channels, as well as bespoke engagement with stakeholder and community groups to raise awareness Managing paid for media streams and targeting audiences based on local data Working with their Public Health data team to access the relevant data on vaccine uptake and testing, to make sure they get the data they need to effectively target their communications. To collaborate with the organisations health and voluntary sector partners (Chambers, BID, Age UK, BAME voice etc) To provide support for the communications team which could include: monitoring the communications inbox, logging media enquiries on Veulio, replying to social media comments on PH/ COVID-19 content) Support the handling of both reactive and proactive media enquiries, with the wider communications team. Deputise for Communications Manager when needed Profile Experience writing evidence based, cross channel communication plans Ability to craft accessible narratives for different stakeholder audiences Strong copywriting skills Creativity in looking for ways to add value to existing work and create stand-alone campaigns. Ability to create, edit and produce content, across different channels (web, digital, social) Confident in filming, producing and editing their own videos on a smart phone and editing via software package such as: Kinemaster/ Adobe pro/ iMovie) Experience and understanding in creating and managing paid for direct marketing campaigns.
