Buyer

One of our clients is looking for a buyer to join their team in Chesterfield A regional construction company with some ambitious but very realistic growth plans. The role will be but not limited to the following

• Procurement of all materials required for Civils/ construction projects to ensure they are provided on time and within allocated budgets.
• Ensuring the profitability of contracts by purchasing or sourcing of all Plant and materials in a cost-effective manner.
• Sourcing of appropriate and adequate Plant and materials
• Negotiation with Suppliers to agree payment terms, resolve invoice queries and to reduce Plant and materials costs where possible with fixed price rates across a wide range of products.
• Making best use of any surplus materials across projects to reduce waste, avoid damage and reduce costs to the projects.
• Liaison with Stakeholders at all levels to ensure all procurement aspects of the Construction Projects are dealt with efficiently and effectively, through Tender stages, Construction Phases and Handover to Client.
• Ad-hoc Administration and office duties.
