Your new role
Estimator/Surveyor is responsible for assessing the client's requirements and reviewing project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work, materials, and labour needs. They collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure accurate cost estimates. Site visits are conducted to gather essential information, and quantities are measured using specialised software to prepare the Bill of Quantities. In this role you will prepare and issue enquiries to subcontractors and suppliers, analyse their proposals to ensure alignment with client expectations, and identify risks and opportunities to inform pricing decisions. They also prepare preliminaries for tender adjudication, ensure key issues are addressed, and manage the evaluation and submission of tenders. Post-tender, they engage in negotiations with the client team to secure favourable outcomes.
