Key Responsibilities of an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Technician

• Service, maintain, and repair HGVs and trailers to DVSA standards
• Diagnose faults using diagnostic equipment and rectify efficiently
• Complete all relevant paperwork and job records accurately
• Work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Liaise with parts department to ensure smooth job flow

Skills and Qualifications for an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Technician

Essential

• Proven experience as an HGV Technician or HGV Mechanic
• Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Comfortable working 12-hour shifts on a 4 on 4 off pattern

Desirable

• HGV Class 1 or 2 licence
• IRTEC accreditation
• Experience in dealership or fleet environments
