Your new role

The Senior Application Support Engineer is a highly experienced and skilled professional responsible for providing expert-level technical support and guidance to ICT teams and users. You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and reliability of the council's IT infrastructure, systems, and applications. Moreover, you are responsible for providing expert-level technical support to users and resolving complex IT issues that cannot be resolved by 1st or 2nd line support teams. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring that the council's IT infrastructure and systems are operating efficiently and reliably.

Skills you'll need to succeed

Required

  • NEC Housing and associated Interfaces knowledge.

  • Oracle SQL / MS SQL / MS Access database skills. - Toad and/or Oracle SQL Developer

  • Interface testing and troubleshooting skills.

  • Windows server skills.

  • Data manipulation skills.

  • PowerShell or Visual Basic scripting skills.

  • Good communication skills, both written and oral.

Nice to have

  • SAP Business Objects reporting knowledge.

  • SAP Data Services knowledge.

  • CA Workflow Automation knowledge.

  • API knowledge.

  • Unix Shell Programming.
