in-house HGV Workshop Foreman
This is a full-time permanent position.
Mon to Fri and Saturday Morning (on a rota basis)
Contracted 45 hrs per week

We are looking actively for an experienced HGV Mechanic to join our existing team as the Workshop Foreman and further our in-house maintenance operation.
Reporting directly to the Transport Manager, we are looking for someone with experience of carrying out mechanical repairs to HGVs, who is confident and competent in carrying out 6 weekly PMIs, MOT preparations and maintaining hydraulic systems.
You will be competent in the servicing and repairing of vehicles. As well as technical competence in the mechanics of a vehicle, you will have thorough knowledge of the electrical components and be comfortable with using the latest diagnostic equipment to identify and rectify faults.
Experience of working with a range of manufacturers, and a strong knowledge of DVSA rules and regulations is essential.
A minimum qualification of NVQ/City and Guilds level 3 Certificate is required.
You must hold a current UK full driving licence and a Class 1/2 HGV licence with full up-to-date CPC would be preferable.
Responsibilities:
Ensure all Maintenance Requirements are met (MOT, PMI, Tacho Calibration, Brake Tests and Servicing)
Reasonable standard of computer literacy
Confident, flexible and positive.
An analytical problem solver that works well under pressure.
Experience in all aspects of HGV maintenance - Engines/Gearbox/Hydraulic systems/Brake Systems, Welding, and Electrical systems.
