HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician / HGV Fitter Droitwich, Worcestershire
Location: Worcestershire
Salary: £40,(Apply online only) - £50,(Apply online only) per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week
Shifts: Alternating 8:00am to 4:30pm and 3:00pm to 11:00pm

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a skilled HGV Mechanic, HGV Technician or HGV Fitter to join a busy, established commercial vehicle workshop in Droitwich. You ll maintain commercial vehicles and trailers to MOT standard, working in a professional, modern, and well-equipped environment where ongoing training and career progression are actively supported.
Key Responsibilities of an HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician / HGV Fitter
Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on commercial vehicles and trailers to VOSA standards
Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently and accurately
Attend roadside or customer premises breakdowns when required
Work safely and professionally following all health and safety guidelines
Coordinate with parts department to order necessary components
Complete job cards and service documentation accurately and on time
Maintain a clean, organised work area and uphold workshop standards
Participate in ongoing product and technical training to keep skills current
Skills and Qualifications for an HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician / HGV Fitter
Essential
Technical qualification such as City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3, or equivalent proven experience in HGV maintenance
Full UK driving licence
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure
Good communication skills and a team player attitude
Understanding of health and safety practices in a workshop environment
Desirable
LGV / HGV licence
ADR qualification
Experience working on a wide range of commercial vehicles
