Job Description
Job Purpose: To assist in fulfilling the production levels set by the planning team, efficiently and to the satisfaction of the customer whilst complying to the companies procedures and processes. Key responsibilities:
Weighing up of ingredients, cooking of soups and sauces.
Ability to follow flow sheets, which in essences is a recipe card for specific products.
Physically able to plan, prepare and lift ingredients into cooking vessels.
Cooking of ingredients into large Vessels by following a specific cooking plan and process.
Ability to follow complex processes and challenge issues that arise within daily tasks.
Using chemicals to wash out allergens within the vessels used.
Working in environment which handles powder based and wet ingredients containing allergens.
Emptying and moving hot sauces from the cooking Vessels into chillers, writing and tagging traceability.
Producing hot (temperature and spice) sauces with seasonings containing allergens
Ensure that all products are produced in accordance with company procedures and process controls to the satisfaction of the customer. Ensure that you are complying with company procedures, personal hygiene and food safety legislation at all times,
Ensure that all traceability and process paperwork relevant to your role is recorded accurately and legibly to guarantee full product traceability on all products at all times during production process.
Perform visual checks on both plant and machinery used in your section for both cleanliness and safety. Report immediately any faults or defects to the supervisor, to be added to the daily pre-operations report. Ensure that any equipment supplied by the company to aid production processes and fulfil health and safety requirements is utilised at all times.
High levels of attention to detail.
