About the Role As a Service Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining, repairing, and preparing both hire fleet and customer equipment. This role offers a mix of workshop-based and occasional on-site work, including installation and commissioning. Key Responsibilities: Service and maintain generator and plant equipment (hire fleet and customer owned) Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs Prepare equipment for hire and load/unload vehicles Install and disconnect equipment on-site, including synchronising and wiring where needed Take part in our on-call rota and support emergency callouts Maintain high standards of housekeeping and equipment condition Complete all required documentation accurately and on time Ensure company assets and vehicles are properly used and maintained What we are looking for: Essential: Experience working on generators, plant, or heavy engineering equipment GCSE or equivalent qualifications Forklift Truck Licence (or willingness to obtain) Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to work independently and solve problems under pressure Flexibility to work unsociable hours when required Desirable: Relevant mechanical/plant engineering qualifications My client is a respected leader in power generation solutions, and our engineers are at the heart of what we do.
