Job Description
To work as part of the non-contract estimating team to quote and project manage schemes for Local Authority and Term Maintenance customers.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Estimating / Workload management
Ensure all general quotes are completed within 48 hours (where possible) and include an accurate build-up of project costs and submitted rates. Rates are to be competitive whilst ensuring that the desired profit margin is attained.
Estimating board to be updated regularly with current work load timings and emails monitored and progressed promptly.
Managing Non-Contract Estimator/Project Manager is informed of any potential workload issues.
Effective communication with customers to ensure that the correct information is obtained in order to produce accurate quotations.
Communication with Managing Non-Contract Estimator/Project Manager or Executive Director to discuss any significant risks on tendered projects.
Project Managing
Ensure all production sheets are accurate, contain all required information and are clearly laid out for the factory and site teams; following all company processes and procedures.
Liaise with MD in order to organise relevant time on planning to guarantee resource required to undertake works.
Material procurement to be organised in a timely manner and at competitive rates.
Maximise opportunity to increase project profitability on additional works or changes to scope.
Escalated account queries need to be 'owned' and resolved in a timely manner; communication with the Managing Non-Contract Estimator/Project Manager.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Technical Skills / Qualification
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- A full UK Driving License.
- Competent user of all Microsoft packages.
- Strong numerical skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise based on the commercial needs of the business.
