Senior Lecturer in Education - Primary - (ITT) The School of Social Sciences, Humanities and Law is seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Education (ITT) with a focus on Teaching Scholarship and Professional Practice (TSPP) in Primary Education. The role involves contributing to our initial teacher training courses and apprenticeships within the Department of Education. The standard TSPP academic role at the University includes teaching, scholarly activity, professional practice, knowledge exchange, business engagement, and administrative activities. The emphasis on each area will vary between roles and over time. Applicants should hold a first degree in primary education and/or a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (Primary) or a related discipline, along with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS). Significant experience in primary teaching across EYFS and ages 5-11, including teaching pupils of all ability levels and those with additional learning needs, is required. The candidate should be an excellent primary practitioner with a proven record of achieving good pupil outcomes and mentoring early career teachers. Knowledge will be applied to teaching, curriculum design, knowledge exchange, enterprise, and business engagement.
