Job Description

This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced industrial engineer (maintenance, servicing, integration, automation or similar) with electrical training to develop their career in a new direction.

Ideally, you already have experience in machine safety inspections but, full training can be provided for the right people.

This is a national role and will require travel with overnight stays. For a full-time role, this would typically be 2 nights per week. Travel expenses are paid at an agreed rate

Company car or car allowance provided after successful completion of a probation period

Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections of industrial machinery to ensure compliance with machine safety standards
- Perform visual inspections, defect identification and risk assessment with recommended controls.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate records
- Communicate with the site contact as needed to understand the application
- Travel to the site location and arrive at the agreed time ready to work. Whilst every effort is made to give you work that is local to you, this is a national role and will require travel with overnight stays. For a full time role, this would typically be 2 nights per week.

Qualifications:
- Must have worked in manufacturing recently in an engineering role for 10 years min.

- Previous experience as an inspector or surveyor is preferred

- Experience in risk assessment preferred

- Knowledge machinery standards is desirable
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyse information effectively
- Excellent communication skills. Succinct and logical.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Freelance, Zero hours contract

Pay: £35,000.00-£65,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 16 - 40 per week
