The Role Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost control and contract administration on a range of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard. Our client is one of the leading Engineering and Construction companies within the UK. As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be working on a long-term high-profile Rail project. Schemes can vary in size covering station upgrades, platform extensions, new builds, bridges, track renewals, and power supplies You will be based in their Leeds office and or sites within proximity of their central office. They are looking for someone who is used to managing a large-scale Rail or Civil Engineering/Construction projects with NEC Contract experience. Responsibilities: Actively manage the preparation and management of subcontract and material procurement schedules. Drafting of complex subcontracts including Professional Services Agreements. Review subcontractor/supplier accounts from the preparation of detailed requisitions, monitoring, and authorisation of subcontract payments through to agreement of final accounts. Manage the contract administration, including change management and maintain associated registers. Responsible, where required, to ensure that a review of all the contractual obligations and commercial risks is carried out prior to submission of tenders along with attendance at tender settlement meetings. Maximise cash position, including WIP control, cashflow production and improvement plans for all projects. Review margin improvement plan on projects. Implement and attend monthly project reviews to interrogate the project performance and take appropriate actions. Collate, analyse and challenge Cost/Value reports and forecast for projects, implement required actions. Manage the preparation of internal commercial and other reports as required. Experience Required: Preferably previous experience within a Rail environment. Would consider someone from a civil engineering or construction background with NEC3 or 4 experience. Preferably a main contracting background. You will be working on a flexible hybrid basis from their local regional office. On offer is an excellent overall package. Salary is 60,000 - 70,000 depending on experience and their package includes a company car or 7,500 car allowance and you would be eligible for an 10% bonus scheme.
