Precious Metals Weigher

WHAT IS ON OFFER

Alfred H Knight is currently seeking a Precious Metal Weigher to join our expert team here in Liverpool. In this role, you will report to the PM Senior Supervisor and play a key part in ensuring test samples are weighed with the highest levels of accuracy, precision, and efficiency.

The John Knight Laboratory is a vital part of Alfred H Knight's global laboratory services, offering comprehensive analysis of a wide range of materials and commodities for our diverse client base. Recognised as the Centre of Excellence within the AHK Group, the laboratory upholds the highest standards of operational performance due to the high intrinsic value of the materials handled.

Key Responsibilities:

• The weighing of the daily laboratory workload to meet agreed work schedules and targets and to ensure that weighing processes are performed in accordance with documented methods and procedures.
• Ensuring that the balances that the post holder uses are regularly (daily) calibrated and maintained, clean and free from contamination at all times. In cases where balances are found to be working unsatisfactorily it is the post holder's responsibility to inform the departmental manager so that repair or maintenance can be organised.
• Assisting the departmental manager in setting out and implementing suitable training programmes that will ensure that the post holder is sufficiently well trained to carry out weighing duties accurately and efficiently.
• Ensuring that the balance room work areas and work stations are kept clean and tidy and free from test sample contamination and other debris.
