We're now looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team taking commercial lead on a project in Darlington, where you'll play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of the Pollam Hall School project - a high-profile scheme that will leave a lasting legacy.
Your role:
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll take commercial oversight on this exciting project, managing cost and risk while ensuring value for money and contractual compliance. You'll be involved from early-stage feasibility through to final account, working closely with internal teams, clients, and supply chain partners.
You'll also:
- Lead procurement and manage subcontractor packages
- Prepare and assess applications for payment
- Monitor project expenditure and produce CVRs
- Manage change control and mitigate commercial risk
- Mentor junior team members and share your expertise
What we're looking for:
We're after someone with
- A degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying
- Strong knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts
- Experience in main contracting and large-scale 2-stage bids
- A collaborative, trusted, and focused approach - aligned with Kier's values
- A full UK driving licence
