As a Business Development Specialist at Checkatrade, you'll be on the front lines of our growth efforts, focusing on identifying and creating new opportunities. This isn't a closing role; instead, you'll be the engine that fuels our pipeline by proactively sourcing leads, engaging with potential customers, and generating interest in Checkatrade's offerings.
You'll be responsible for:
Identifying and researching potential leads through various channels, understanding their needs, and assessing their fit for Checkatrade.
Initiating engaging conversations with prospects through calls, emails, and other outreach methods to qualify their interest and pain points.
Articulating Checkatrade's value proposition clearly and persuasively, sparking curiosity and building rapport.
Nurturing leads through the initial stages of the client journey, ensuring a smooth handoff to our account management team for deeper engagement.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and lead information within Salesforce.
Collaborating closely with our account management team and other internal teams to share insights, refine outreach strategies, and maximize lead conversion.

What do you need to succeed?

0-2 years of work experience in a business development, lead generation, client outreach, or similar customer-facing role.
A results-driven mindset with the resilience and determination to consistently identify and qualify new opportunities.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly and articulate value clearly and concisely.
A proactive and self-motivated approach, with a genuine passion for identifying and creating new business opportunities.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for effective lead management.
Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM tools to manage leads and track interactions is a plus, but not essential - we'll provide training!
