Are you an enthusiastic and driven Assistant Site Manager with a passion for high-quality housebuilding? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established award winning regional housebuilder with a long lasting pipeline of projects across the yorkshire regions.

You'll support the Site Manager with day-to-day site operations and gain hands-on experience managing residential developments from the groundworks stage through to handover.



About the Role:

As an Assistant Site Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring that works on site are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard. You'll be involved in coordinating trades, ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures, monitoring progress, and maintaining quality on site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of the site

  • Supervising subcontractors and direct labour to ensure works are completed on time and to specification

  • Ensuring health & safety procedures are followed and site remains clean and safe at all times

  • Conducting site inspections, snagging, and quality control checks

  • Assisting with scheduling and coordinating deliveries and site logistics

  • Communicating effectively with trades, suppliers, consultants, and the wider site and office teams

  • Helping to manage customer care issues and ensuring a smooth handover to purchasers



What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within residential construction (either new build housing or similar)

  • Strong understanding of health & safety regulations and site processes

  • SMSTS or SSSTS, First Aid, and CSCS card (or working towards)

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills

  • Proactive, hands-on approach with a strong attention to detail

  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to sites across Yorkshire
