Nicholas Howard Limited are delighted to be recruiting for a Mortgage Underwriter to join a growing and ambitious specialist lender based in London, working on a hybrid basis.
The successful candidate will deliver excellence in customer service, making decisions in line with the Company s responsible lending and underwriting policies. As part of a small and growing team, this represents an exciting chance to apply a range of skills and experience throughout the lending lifecycle, with plenty of opportunity for progression and development.
Overview of Key Tasks:
- Reviewing of mortgage applications against lending criteria to make robust lending decisions
- Management of a portfolio of cases through to completion, working with case managers and brokers to ensure thorough assessment of suitability
- An ability to consider cases outside of mandate and present lending rationale and and recommendations for approval
- Adherence to all regulatory and conduct requirements
- Confidence engaging with multiple parties, internal teams, brokers, customers, and solicitors
