Quantity Surveyor
Location: Southwark, London
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: 65,000 per annum
About the Role
Our client, a long-established and respected specialist construction contractor in London, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support the Commercial Lead across their Contracts Division, with a focus on social housing refurbishment programmes.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of key projects, drive commercial performance, and work with a professional and collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
- Monthly preparation and updates of Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs)
- Weekly measurement and valuation validation
- Procurement and management of subcontractors and supply chain partners
- Maintain and update the commercial risk register
- Participate in cost reduction and value engineering strategies
- Support contract reviews and cost reporting initiatives
Requirements
- Professional qualification or demonstrable experience in quantity surveying
- Proven track record in managing project finances and subcontractor accounts
- Experience in public sector frameworks, especially social housing, preferred
- Knowledge of NEC and JCT forms of contract
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
