Job Title: General Foreman Renewables Projects (Scotland)
Location: Various sites across Scotland
Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent

Are you an experienced and driven General Foreman looking to make a real impact on the future of renewable energy in Scotland?

An established civil engineering contractor with a strong pipeline of renewable energy projects is seeking a proactive General Foreman to join their team. Operating on major onshore substations, windfarms, cable routes and battery storage unit projects throughout Scotland, this is a chance to work at the forefront of the transition to net zero.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

  • Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, plant, and materials.

  • Work closely with the Site Agent and Project Manager to ensure programme and quality targets are met.

  • Maintain site records and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.

  • Contribute to site meetings and provide regular progress updates.

  • Ensure workforce understands and adheres to risk assessments and method statements.

About You:
  • Proven experience as a General Foreman on civil engineering projects, ideally within the renewables or infrastructure sectors.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate site teams.

  • Excellent understanding of site health & safety and environmental requirements.

  • Flexible and willing to work on various projects across Scotland, including remote locations.

  • Valid CSCS card, SMSTS or SSSTS, and First Aid certification required.

  • Full UK driving licence essential.
