We are seeking highly astute and experienced ER HRBP to support the BBC as a great place to work through delivery of effective workplace conflict resolution, case management and employee engagement.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:

  • As an HRBP in the ER Team, you'll work closely with the Senior HRBP and HRBPs to undertake employee relations related activities. You will team lead a cohort of HR specialist case managers for professional advice, support and guidance on everyday workflow and oversight on the quality of our processes
  • You will also support governance meetings including the Specialist Case Management Framework to meet our service level agreements in handling the most complex, sensitive and serious cases in the BBC. You will support as a senior case manager on high profile support at work cases or in major organisational reviews, dealing with all stages from fact finding, grievance and disciplinary and appeal hearings involving Senior Leaders
  • You will be assigned to a role in either Resolution Centre or aligned to a specific Division and will be responsible for ensuring that all cases are managed appropriately. The deployment across Resolution centre and Divisional partnering roles will be allocated by management and may be rotated periodically within the team
  • Ensure that BBC Values are upheld in the conduct of our work and will coach and support all those involved
  • You will scrutinise and assess complaints and always ensure that case documentation and communication is accurately recorded, timely and complies with BBC policy and statutory requirements


YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL:

  • You are a self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to build rapport with a range of stakeholders, promoting confidence in our approach to resolving workplace issues
  • You have proven experience in employee relations case management and a solid understanding of HR practices, including employment case handling
  • You can plan, manage, and support critical time-sensitive HR activities and projects effectively
  • You are a confident communicator, capable of producing clear, empathetic reports and presentations that simplify complex information
  • You have held roles such as HR Business Partner, HR Specialist, or similar with People responsibilities and Investigation experience in complex environments like legal, psychology, social work, or trade unions
  • You've shown leadership through team management or project delivery and are comfortable working autonomously in fast-paced settings
  • You're proactive, solution-focused, and able to build strong relationships
  • You bring strategic insight, can manage multiple cases and projects concurrently, and are committed to continuous professional development

DESIRABLE

  • Experience of working in a centralised or specialist Employee relations or case management team e.g. litigation or workplace investigations
  • Prior experience of working with People systems (such as SAP)
  • Prior experience and accreditation in mediation, coaching or focus group facilitation
