Job Description
We're seeking a strategic leader to oversee our IT Operational Management, supervising the Network Operations Centre (NOC) and the emerging Operations Security Centre (OSC).
This role ensures the stability, security, and efficiency of our production systems across Group, Venues, and Interactive platforms. You will lead high-performing teams managing our IT estate, including gaming platforms, corporate infrastructure, and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the 24x7 operations of NOC and OSC, ensuring optimal performance both on-premises and in cloud environments.
- Build and develop the OSC team, establishing processes for security event management and incident resolution.
- Optimize costs for monitoring tools like NewRelic while maintaining platform visibility and functionality.
- Ensure rapid detection and resolution of faults and security incidents to minimize business impact.
- Monitor and alert on security, gaming, and data compliance issues, understanding technical obligations.
- Improve operational processes to adapt to evolving business needs and industry standards.
- Mentor team leads, fostering accountability, growth, and excellence.
- Collaborate with ITSM, engineering, and change management teams to improve service quality and manage risks.
- Drive service improvement through insights and analysis to enhance tools, processes, and supplier performance.
- Transition BAU tasks from smaller teams to NOC/OSC, enabling focus on strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
- Deep technical expertise in legacy and cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, Cloudflare, Nginx, GitHub, Kubernetes, monitoring platforms like NewRelic and Solarcloud).
- Several years of experience in IT Operations, SRE, or ITSM, with a record of operational excellence.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across diverse technology stacks, including internal and third-party components.
- Proven leadership of global, 24x7 teams, emphasizing performance and resilience.
- Understanding of service quality and security compliance, with ability to protect customer and business interests.
- Gaming industry experience is highly desirable, especially in regulated or high-availability settings.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex concepts for all audiences.
- Resilient and empathetic leadership, managing conflict and high-pressure situations professionally.
- Business acumen, understanding operational decisions' impact on performance.
