Job Summary
To provide joint administrative and junior planning support to the Town Planning function, assisting in the early-stage planning process including pre-MSV activities, data gathering, document management, and coordination of planning submissions.
This role is designed to support senior planners while developing internal capability in town planning.
Duties
- Support pre-MSV planning activities including planning scope reviews and data collection.
- Collate, review and maintain accurate planning histories and associated documentation.
- Prepare and submit standardised planning documents
- Assist with planning portal reviews and local authority research.
- Update internal systems and trackers to ensure planning data is accurate and up to date.
- Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to chase outstanding planning information.
- Provide general administrative support to the planning team, including document filing and record management.
- Support junior planning activity on less complex sites under supervision.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of planning processes and documentation standards.
- Managing and liaising with external suppliers to provide planning support and reports for various planning conditions
