Quality Assurance Engineer - Process Assurance

We are seeking a Product Assurance Engineer to support functional engineering and integration across the product development lifecycle. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in quality assurance, process improvement, and engineering governance, particularly within highly regulated environments such as aerospace or defence.

This position involves assuring the quality of engineering outputs through development, industrialisation, and early production phases. The successful candidate will apply grounded quality techniques (including Lean and Six Sigma), define quality metrics, and monitor process performance. The role is highly collaborative and requires engagement with engineering, programmes, operations, and suppliers.

• Define and maintain project quality plans to meet contractual and internal standards

• Lead quality assurance throughout development, production, and support phases

• Identify and manage quality risks on products and projects

• Support the resolution and closure of product non-conformances

• Conduct and support audits across projects, processes, and supply chains

• Certify the conformity of final product deliveries (products and services)

• Promote improvements using lessons learned, root cause analysis, and trend reporting

• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure product assurance compliance

• Minimum HNC/HND in Engineering, Quality, or a related discipline

• Proficient in QA methodologies such as 8D, RCA, DMAIC, etc.

• Strong knowledge of the product lifecycle, particularly early production/industrialisation

• Previous experience in engineering, quality assurance, or product development

• Confident using tools such as SAP (QM), Excel, and document management systems

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• Ability to implement, monitor, and continuously improve quality standards
