Full Stack Lead Engineer (Founding Engineer, Potential Co Founder)

Our client is looking for a hands on Full Stack Lead Engineer who can own everything from architecture decisions to first shipping deadlines. You'll join as their first technical hire with the option to step in as a Co Founder depending on experience and mutual fit. They are looking for someone comfortable and able to contribute to decisions at the highest strategic level within product and tech as well as other areas of the business.

• Architect and build high quality web and mobile TypeScript applications using modern frameworks such as Next.js (or similar).
• Design, implement, and evolve scalable database schemas for consumer facing e commerce and content apps.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines and serverless cloud infrastructure (Vercel, AWS, GCP).
• Integrate and experiment with cutting edge AI services (OpenAI, function calling, multi modal APIs) and master prompt engineering best practices.
• Prototype modern, interactive user interfaces that delight players-low latency, visually rich, and optimised for both desktop and mobile.
• Work closely with the product team to convert early prototypes or even concepts into high quality software
• Establish engineering standards and mentor future hires as we scale the engineering team.

• 5+ years shipping production JavaScript/TypeScript code; deep experience with React/Next.js or similar.

• Solid grounding in computer science fundamentals and modern web architecture patterns.
• Demonstrated cloud infrastructure skills (IaC, serverless functions, logging, monitoring).
• Data modelling chops with relational and/or document databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Track record of integrating third party APIs, especially LLM or generative media services.
• An aggressive 'can-do' mindset - bias to ship, measure and rapidly iterate.
