This role ensures the scalability, reliability, and performance of enterprise systems while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver business-critical solutions. The manager will also be responsible for implementing agile processes across engineering teams, including standing up sprint rituals, and managing the environment to ensure consistency and reliability. Responsibilities Platform Leadership: • Lead and mentor platform engineering teams to deliver robust, scalable systems. • Define and maintain best practices for platform architecture and engineering standards.• Drive innovation in platform capabilities with a focus on automation and resilience. Agile Process & Team Management: • Implement agile processes across all engineering teams.• Establish and facilitate all sprint rituals, including planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the teams. Collaboration & Delivery: • Partner with Product, Data, and DevOps teams to align platform services with business requirements.• Manage platform upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure improvements.• Oversee platform monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement initiatives. Environment Management: • Manage and maintain all engineering environments to ensure consistency, reliability, and security.• Ensure effective version control, release management, and environment availability for development, testing, and production. Qualifications Experience: • Extensive exprience of platform engineering experience with leadership responsibilities.• Proven expertise in managing large-scale distributed systems and cloud infrastructure.• Strong knowledge of containerization, orchestration, and automation frameworks. Skills & Competencies: • Strong leadership and team-building skills.• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.• Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure).• Strong understanding of agile delivery practices and environment management. Education: • Ideally a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
