What you'll do As part of the Data Operations team, you will be responsible for observing and improving the health, performance, and reliability of the platform, and ensuring start-of-day readiness for trading. You will provide knowledgeable insight to users with regards to the data content, as well as technical assistance should issues arise. You will be responsible for the availability of our comprehensive pricing and domain-related datasets, as well as our real-time data feeds. You will be interacting closely with portfolio managers, communicating often quite detailed information clearly and concisely, and working closely with the rest of the Data Operations team on a follow-the-sun basis. Sometimes you will hand over ongoing issues or high priority items, and at other times you will be working on a focused strategic initiative. As a region lead, you will be responsible for the recruitment and development of your team. What you'll bring What you need: Strong financial domain knowledge Experience supporting real time market data Linux operator and experience in at least one scripting language Experience managing others Experience handling Level 2&3 support issues as part of a global team Excellent communication skills, oral and written An ownership mentality, and a track record of delivering results Attention to detail We'd love if you had: Experience within a quantitative trading firm/hedge fund Knowledge of Q/KDB+ Knowledge of PostgreSQL Experience and knowledge of: Orchestration Tools Cloud services such as AWS Geneos Our culture The firm's ethos is embedded in our people.
