Job Description

A well established organisation is looking to bring on a Qlik Analyst to support their growing business intelligence function in Glasgow (hybrid). This is a great opportunity for someone with strong Qlik experience, a passion for building insightful dashboards and an interest in shaping how data is used across the business.

This role is ideal for a Qlik Analyst who enjoys blending data skills with stakeholder collaboration and who is looking to develop their expertise in a data driven environment. You'll be joining a tight knight team of 3 so you'll be given a lot of autonomy in this role and your work will have a direct impact on the business.

What you'll be doing:

In this role, you'll be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining interactive Qlik Sense dashboards that help turn data into real business insights. You'll work closely with stakeholders to understand their goals and reporting needs, translating business questions into clear, visual solutions that drive decision making.

You'll apply best practices in UX to ensure dashboards are not only accurate but also user friendly. As well as developing new applications, you'll also support and improve existing ones, ensuring they remain aligned with business priorities and data governance standards. You'll monitor performance, troubleshoot issues and continuously enhance usability based on user feedback.

You'll also help document processes, provide user training and contribute to creating a culture of data literacy across the business.

You'll ideally have experience with most of the following:

  • Experience developing dashboards and applications in Qlik Sense
  • Experience with Copilot
  • A good understanding of data modelling and visualisation best practices
  • Familiarity with SQL and querying relational databases
  • Experience working with stakeholders to define KPIs, metrics, and reporting goals
  • Good understanding of user experience and dashboard usability principles
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills and the ability to work across both technical and non technical teams
  • Qlik certifications are a bonus but not essential

Why apply?

This is an ideal opportunity to join a forward thinking organisation that's investing in its data capabilities. You'll gain exposure to a wide range of business areas, work on meaningful BI projects and grow your skills in a collaborative and supportive tight knit team.

The role comes with a competitive salary of 35,000 - 50,000 (depending on experience) and long term progression opportunities. The office expectation will initially be five days in the office during onboarding and training, moving to a hybrid model (three days in office) once settled.

If you're a Qlik Analyst looking to develop your skills, contribute to impactful work and join a respected organisation with great people and a long term vision then I'd love to hear from you. Apply now or contact Matthew at Cathcart Technology for an informal chat.
