One of my local government clients are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Officer. This is a fantastic short-term opportunity to join the council s facilities and maintenance team, ensuring the upkeep and safe functioning of council buildings and public spaces.
Key Responsibilities:

Carry out general maintenance, repairs, and minor works on buildings

Assist with facilities support and reactive maintenance requests

Carry out health and safety checks where required

Report hazards and maintenance issues to relevant departments

Drive between sites as necessary (company vehicle will be provided)
Essential Requirements:

Proven experience in a building maintenance or handyman role

Full UK driving license
-
Willingness to undergo a basic DBS check

Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Desirable:

Knowledge of health and safety procedures in public buildings
