THE JOB
As a Buyer, you will oversee high-value direct and indirect procurement to support world-class manufacturing operations. Your role will ensure cost-effective, high-quality, and timely sourcing while driving operational excellence. Key duties include:
- Strategic Sourcing: Negotiate and manage supplier agreements to optimise cost, quality, and on-time delivery (OTIF).
- Supplier Performance: Implement KPIs, conduct reviews, and maintain strong supplier partnerships.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with internal teams to align procurement with business objectives and support new product development.
- Inventory Control: Manage stock levels to ensure seamless production without disruptions.
- Risk Management: Proactively address supply chain challenges and escalate risks promptly.
- Compliance: Adhere to company policies and industry regulations in all procurement activities.
- Record Management: Maintain accurate records for purchase orders and supplier agreements.
- Procurement Expertise: Proven experience in operational procurement within manufacturing.
- Analytical Acumen: Strong skills in market trend analysis and supplier performance evaluation for cost-effective sourcing.
- Detail-Oriented: Process-driven with meticulous attention to detail and adherence to professional buying standards.
- Supplier Management: Expertise in negotiating and maintaining supplier agreements.
- Multitasking Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently.
- Problem-Solving: Experience resolving complex supply chain issues and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
