Trek Recruitment are partnering with a leading manufacturing company to find a talented Buyer for their state-of-the-art facility in Deeside. This is an exciting opportunity for a procurement professional to join a dynamic team and drive excellence in a thriving manufacturing environment.

THE JOB

As a Buyer, you will oversee high-value direct and indirect procurement to support world-class manufacturing operations. Your role will ensure cost-effective, high-quality, and timely sourcing while driving operational excellence. Key duties include:

  • Strategic Sourcing: Negotiate and manage supplier agreements to optimise cost, quality, and on-time delivery (OTIF).
  • Supplier Performance: Implement KPIs, conduct reviews, and maintain strong supplier partnerships.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with internal teams to align procurement with business objectives and support new product development.
  • Inventory Control: Manage stock levels to ensure seamless production without disruptions.
  • Risk Management: Proactively address supply chain challenges and escalate risks promptly.
  • Compliance: Adhere to company policies and industry regulations in all procurement activities.
  • Record Management: Maintain accurate records for purchase orders and supplier agreements.
Candidate Profile We re seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Buyer with a passion for procurement excellence. Ideal candidates will have:
  • Procurement Expertise: Proven experience in operational procurement within manufacturing.
