Powder Coater

Overview
As a Powder Coater, you will be responsible for applying powder coatings to metal surfaces, ensuring a high-quality finish that meets industry standards. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Hours of work would be Monday - Thursday 7am-3.30pm and Fridays 8am-1.30pm. Temp to perm.

Duties

• Prepare surfaces for powder coating by cleaning, sanding, or masking as necessary.
• Operate powder coating equipment and apply coatings evenly to ensure a smooth finish.
• Monitor the curing process and adjust settings as required for optimal results.
• Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure adherence to specifications.
• Maintain equipment and workspace in a clean and organised manner.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Assist with assembly tasks as needed, utilising hand tools and power tools effectively.

Experience

• Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in fabrication processes.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and welding techniques is advantageous.
• Basic mathematical skills for measuring and mixing materials accurately.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a small team in a busy environment.
