Key Responsibilities
Work as part of the group engineering team to qualify, approve and specify materials and processes to meet with customer and industry requirements.
Perform metallurgical testing, failure analysis, and evaluations to support production and quality assurance.
Provide technical expertise and guidance on superalloys and processes.
Develop and refine procedures in line with industry best practices.
Lead first article inspection activities relevant to the laboratory.
Support root cause investigations for material and/or process issues.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance material performance and manufacturing efficiency.
Work closely with internal and external suppliers on quality issues.
The Person
A degree (or equivalent) in Metallurgy, Materials Engineering, or a related field.
Experience in an operational metallurgy role within a highly regulated industry.
Hands-on experience in both destructive and non-destructive testing.
Strong problem-solving, data analysis, and reporting skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
