The Head of MIP DA reports directly to the Engineering Director on the DRDL Executive Committee. A 'Major Infrastructure Projects' (MIP) team has been established to focus on the significant facility developments and they are seeking an experienced Engineering Leader to take up the role of Head of MIP Design Authority. The Head of MIP DA reports directly to the Engineering Director on the DRDL Executive Committee. They act as the Transient Design Authority for Major Infrastructure Projects and oversee a significant sized Engineering team including the MIP Office of Chief Engineer and embedded project Design and Safety teams. As the Head of MIP you'll act as Design Authority from project start up through design, construction and commissioning to handover prior to first nuclear use. You'll provide technical governance and assurance to ensure the design intent is established and design integrity is maintained through to handover. Within the role you'll engage with senior colleagues to ensure designs are implemented in the as-builts and that the as-builts meet the design intent. Ultimately you'll be responsible for approval of the facility designs and their implementation via the Certificates of Design and Certificates of Conformance.
