Job Title : Packaging and Hygiene Line Operative Temp position moving to permanent for the right candidate Twilight shift (2pm to 10pm Monday to Friday) Immediate Start Department/ location: Production Line Grade/ salary range: £14.63P/H 2pm to 10pm Reports to: Production Manager Job Purpose Maintain and exceed standards required in packaging for BRC To ensure the smooth running of the packaging line Ensure product is correctly packed, stacked, labelled and stored To clean to the highest standards Complete all tasks required and as requested Main Duties and Responsibilities Start-up packaging area and check all belts and machinery for any damage before starting, also check cleanliness of line before production begins. Monitor packaging area making any changes across the line that are needed to keep the product safe and in spec throughout the shift. Complete paperwork every hour measuring temperatures of the pasta and of the cold store. Keep packaging line clean and tidy throughout the shift. To report any problems on the downtime sheet or to report any problems to management if its serious and putting the product in danger. To shut down the packaging machinery and to clean any debris off the floor and make sure all pallets are put away and doors are shut to cold store or to clean once production has finished if you re running the nightshift.
