Job Description

Intuit's Finance team drives business growth and profitability through strategic, financial and operational leadership. Our team is comprised of finance, accounting, supply chain, corporate strategy & development and tax professionals that support and enhance Intuit's operating efficiencies.

We're seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team in London who will be the lead for one of our EMEA entities. We work in a hybrid model and come into the office 3 x days a week.

Responsibilities
  • Works closely and in partnership with the International US GAAP accounting shared services centre and the Controllership, Assurance & Operations (CAO) team to ensure timely and accurate entity close.
  • Prepares complex journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Reviews month-end close activities; conducts P&L and balance sheet analytical reviews.
  • Presents quarterly balance sheet fluctuation commentary to Chief Accounting Officer. Ensures adherence to Intuit Accounting policies.
  • Researches and prepares technical accounting position papers (US GAAP & Local GAAP). Presents updates on accounting standard changes to Chief Accounting Officer.
  • Owns annual statutory audit; supports internal audits.
  • Prepares statutory bridge reconciliation and annual financial statements.
  • Drives completion of Corporate and Indirect Tax Returns. Completes statutory and taxation checklists; full ownership of compliance filings.
  • Creates awareness of compliance obligations with local business partners.
  • Supports other compliance requirements (FCA, AML) and entity Go To Market offerings.
  • Participates in cross-training; influences team priorities and coaches peers.
  • Supports systems implementation projects and process development.
  • Provides project and ad hoc analysis, technical advice, and analytical support.
  • 4+ years proven relevant accounting experience, preferably Big 10 trained
  • Qualified accountant; CA/ACA/CPA or equivalent
  • Strong technical and financial accounting frameworks and reporting (IFRS, EMEA Local GAAP, or US GAAP)
  • Strong technical accounting skills; ability to research and understand technical details, but also interpret and present in lay terms to non-technical finance stakeholders and other business partner
  • Analytical thinker who can identify and implement effective processes improvements
  • Large accounting software package expertise (Oracle Financials preferred)
  • Fluent in English. Secondary language skills are highly desirable
