We have an exciting opportunity for a CNC Programmerto join our team as we relocate to our brand-new, state of the art, production facility in Basingstoke.

The Role

As CNC Programmer, you will provide specialist engineering support involving machining processes and process control for new and existing components.

  • Creating programs to provide stable and robust engineering processes in a medium volume environment.
  • Running and proving out first off components through validation process.
  • Designing all work holding and fixtures required for the production processes, modelling and detailing drawings using CAD software.
  • Creating and releasing manufacturing routings in the ERP system.
  • Supporting production department with machine stoppages and tooling issues.
  • Programming, setting, and operating various simultaneous 5 axis (Inc 3 + 2) Axis CNC milling machines.
  • Liaising with Quality control department reviewing component tolerance data and highlighting areas for improvement.
  • Supporting the creation of Inspection reports.
  • Creating manufacturing stage drawings for internal processes using CAD software.

What are we looking for?

Key Skills:

  • HNC/HND Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • In-depth knowledge of CNC programming techniques, CAD / CAM, jig and tool design.
  • Previous experience with SolidWorks/SolidCAM
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve problems, educate, and work to exacting standards,
  • Competent use of measurement tools
