We have a great opportunity for an experienced Lab Supervisor to join our team where you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our Quality Control laboratory. You will lead a team of QC Technicians in supporting daily quality control activities within our aseptic production department.

  • Working Hours: 37.5 Hours Weekly
  • Contract: 12 months fixed term contract

Your main responsibilities:

  • Participating and assisting in the training of technical and support staff who are working in the aseptic manufacturing unit
  • Ensuring appropriate environmental monitoring is undertaken, documented and trended as defined by the Quality Manager
  • Undertake validation of laboratory equipment and processes where required to maintain compliance with GMP.
  • Support the Quality Manager in the quality control / assurance of products made within the aseptic manufacturing unit.
  • Generate protocols and reports for all analytical validation work

What you need to succeed:

  • Proven experience of line management responsibilities
  • Proven experience of working within a laboratory environment within a commercial or NHS environment
  • Microbiology knowledge is desirable but not essential
  • Excellent communicator with attention to detail
  • A methodical and organised approach to work
  • Ability to work under pressure, take ownership and prioritise appropriately
