As a Senior Product Designer II , you'll help shape this evolving experience. Your work will directly support first responders and help define how AI meaningfully enhances their ability to protect lives. What You'll Do Lead end-to-end design across key Axon Assistant experiences, including voice interaction (e.g., body-worn cameras), mobile workflows (iOS/Android), and web-based interfaces. Partner with product, engineering, and AI/ML teams to create user experiences that are cohesive, intuitive, and mission-critical. Define an experience vision for your product area, ensuring a seamless user journey across interaction types and devices. Apply human-centered design to uncover user needs and translate them into clear, accessible solutions. Conduct hands-on research including ride-alongs, interviews, and usability testing - turning insight into design direction. Prototype and iterate at multiple levels of fidelity, from early sketches to interactive flows and developer-ready specs. Advocate for ethical and responsible AI integration through thoughtful interface design and user feedback loops. What You Bring 8+ years of product design experience , with at least 4 years leading complex digital product initiatives. Experience designing multi-modal systems , especially those involving voice , mobile , and web-based user experiences . Expertise in crafting end-to-end experiences - from user research and journey mapping to prototyping and delivery. A portfolio demonstrating strong interaction design, systems thinking, and product impact. Strong collaboration skills with engineers, PMs, and researchers - you speak the language of delivery as well as design. Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and advocating for design quality and user outcomes throughout. Preferred Qualifications Background in designing AI/ML-enabled tools or real-time systems (e.g., assistants, live communications, field operations). Experience in public safety, emergency response, healthcare, or other high-stakes environments. Familiarity with ethical AI practices and inclusive design standards.
