We are looking for a Deputy Manager - Childrens Home to join our client based in Chard. As a Deputy Manager - Childrens Home you will be passionate about supporting children and young people in their care and achieve their potential within this social care setting. As part of this role you will be supporting the Registered Manager and assisting with the day to day running of the home and inspire a team of Childrens Residential Support Workers to deliver the car to the young people. You will be working in a small team and really making a difference to the childrens lives acting as a mentor and taking part in activities with the children some of whom have experienced trauma in their lives. Co-ordinate and monitor quality of care, casework and administrative functions of the home and evaluate standards of performance against targets. Lead, assist and supervise in the continual assessment of children's needs and to identify and prepare specific development plans, working with partners where appropriate, to ensure the most appropriate service provision. Leading on all aspects of recruitment and people management to support staff to achieve the highest standards of care. Deliver comprehensive staff training & development programme to enable staff to provide the necessary skills and expertise to meet the needs of children and perform their role. Support the development of supportive and therapeutic relationships between staff, children and other stakeholders. Liaise with various internal/external multi-disciplinary teams and commissioning authorities to ensure the care needs of our cared for children are met effectively and in a timely manner. To ensure the efficient, safe management of the home, including budget management, health and safety regulations, statutory regulations, adequate staffing levels and be part of an on-call system.To apply for this role you will need to hold a NVQ or QCF Level 5.
