Salary: £40,000 - £55,000

A new opportunity has arisen within the team, presenting an excellent career move. The successful candidate will focus on advising on:

  • Mental Capacity issues
  • Court of Protection (Health & Welfare)
  • Human Rights issues such as refusal, consent to treatment, and care standards
  • Inquests & Judicial Reviews
  • Coroners Court Proceedings
  • Ombudsman investigations
  • Public Law responsibilities and Regulatory obligations concerning Health and Social Care provision

Experience in all areas is not essential, but familiarity with Court of Protection proceedings and relevant legislation (particularly Mental Capacity Act 2005, Liberty Protection Reforms, and Mental Health Act 1983) is required.

The team often handles complex and high-profile cases requiring a team-based approach. The role is suitable for an associate solicitor or CILEX with circa 0-3 years' PQE. Applications from NQ lawyers with COP or Inquest experience are also encouraged.
