PRINCIPAL ACOUSTIC CONSULTANT - 60,000 to 70,000 + Benefits - London

A market-leading consultancy is seeking a highly experienced PRINCIPAL ACOUSTIC CONSULTANT to lead major projects and mentor junior talent from its central London office. This is a standout opportunity for a technically confident and commercially minded PRINCIPAL ACOUSTIC CONSULTANT to shape strategy, influence design outcomes, and deliver excellence across building acoustics and environmental noise sectors.

As a PRINCIPAL ACOUSTIC CONSULTANT, you will oversee delivery across high-value residential, commercial, cultural and infrastructure schemes. You'll drive client engagement, quality assurance, and team development while maintaining a hands-on technical role in modelling and acoustic design.

We are looking for a PRINCIPAL ACOUSTIC CONSULTANT with:

  • 8+ years' experience in acoustic consultancy, including leadership responsibilities

  • Expertise in building acoustics, sound insulation, planning support, and acoustic modelling

  • Deep understanding of BB93, BS8233, and national planning policy

  • Proven client management and project delivery record

  • Strong mentoring and team leadership skills

  • Proficiency in tools such as ODEON, CadnaA, or SoundPLAN

  • Chartered or working towards chartership with the IOA

  • Full UK driving licence
