What you'll do?
As a Software Engineer at Deliveroo, your individual work contributes to achieving goals across your team. You will work with your team and may lead projects, while also contributing outside of your direct remit. You will report to managers and group leads and deliver results collaboratively.
Technical Execution:
You will improve code structure, influence architecture, review code produced by your team, and aim to simplify maintenance and operations of production systems. You will build relationships with other engineering teams, identify collaboration opportunities, own larger pieces of work, assist with design and technical decisions, and influence the team roadmap. Additionally, you will participate in hiring and support the growth of colleagues.
We value experience in some of the following areas, though we do not require all:
- Writing readable, well-designed, and well-tested software
- 3+ years of experience in Android application development at scale
- Kotlin and/or Java proficiency
- Experience in scaling Android architecture
- 3+ years using Android development tools like Android Studio
- Working in cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of Android SDK and AndroidX
- Interest in Kotlin development
