Senior Mechanical Fitter

£50K + Paid Overtime, Site Allowances & Travel Expenses.

Earn 60k + Essex based with 20% travel

This position requires a positive and proactive individual with excellent communication skills, flexible work style and able to work overtime as required. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively to deadlines working alone or as part of a team.

Mechanical Fitter The Role:

• Mechanical production build of large complex equipment from scratch or drawings/ pneumatic diagrams
• Installation and / or commissioning and or testing of large complex equipment
• Reading and working to complex engineering drawings with attention to detail
• Working with and reading pneumatic diagrams
• Fitting motors / gearboxes / bearings / pipe work (Copper & UPVC) / drive shafts etc
• Appreciation of squaring and levelling machines

Mechanical Fitter The Person:

• 2 years demonstrable experience of mechanical production build of large complex equipment from scratch to drawings/pneumatic diagrams
• 5 years experience of typical mechanical skills marking out, drilling, tapping, cutting etc
• 2 years experience fitting motors/gearboxes/bearings/pipe work/drive shafts etc
• Experience and appreciation of squaring and levelling machines
• Experience in glass/conveyor or food processing equipment
• Experience of installation/commissioning/testing of large complex equipment
• Good level of fitness with a flexible work style and the ability to work overtime and on-site (overseas) when required
• Ability to effectively work to deadlines as part of a team or alone
• Be able to provide own tools in-line with job expectations

This position is based in Essex and commutable from Colchester, Hereford, Epping, Chelmsford, Harlow, Bishops Stortford or Saffron Walden.

Also suitable for Mechanical Engineer or a Maintenance Technician who has experience of building automated machinery.
