Job Title: Auto Electrician (Bus Fleet)
Location: Newcastle
Salary: 40,000 - 45,000 per annum
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Auto Electrician to join our team in Newcastle, specializing in the maintenance and repair of 24-volt electrical systems on a fleet of buses. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to work in a busy, modern workshop environment, ensuring our vehicles operate safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair 24-volt electrical systems on buses
• Inspect and troubleshoot wiring, lighting, batteries, starters, alternators, and other electrical components
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify faults and perform repairs
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation
• Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards
• Work closely with the engineering team to ensure fleet reliability and availability
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with technological advancements

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Auto Electrician, preferably with heavy vehicles or buses
• Strong knowledge of 24-volt electrical systems and diagnostics
• Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals
• Good problem-solving and fault-finding skills
• Relevant qualifications in automotive electrical systems or equivalent experience
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to health and safety standards
