Job Title: PSV Mechanic
Location: Darlington
Salary: 40,000 - 45,000 per annum
About the Role:
We are currently recruiting for an experienced PSV Mechanic to join a leading transport company based in Darlington. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to work in a modern workshop environment, maintaining and repairing a fleet of public service vehicles to the highest safety and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a fleet of buses and coaches
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
• Conduct vehicle inspections in line with DVSA standards
• Complete all job cards, inspection sheets, and service records accurately
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
• Work collaboratively with the engineering team to meet operational deadlines
• Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain technical skills

Requirements:

• Proven experience working as a PSV Mechanic, HGV Technician, or Bus Technician
• Relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Good understanding of DVSA regulations and safety standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A full UK driving licence (Category D preferred but not essential)
