Manual Horizontal Borer setter/operator - days

• Configure and operate manual horizontal boring machines to produce precision parts in accordance with technical engineering drawings and specifications.

• Machine components to tight tolerances, ensuring high-quality standards are met.

• Perform accurate self-inspections using precision measuring tools to verify part conformity.

• Conduct regular machine maintenance to ensure optimal performance and productivity.

• Read and interpret complex technical drawings to plan and execute machining tasks.

• Work closely with the production team, reporting to the Works Manager/Production Planning Manager, to meet contractual delivery requirements.

• Be willing to work overtime when required to meet production demands.

• A strong track record as a Manual Horizontal Borer Setter/Operator with hands-on experience in horizontal boring and milling.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work to fine tolerances.

• Proficient in using measuring tools for accurate self-inspections.

• Experience in medium to heavy engineering environments, ideally with knowledge of machining diverse materials.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive and motivated attitude.

• Familiarity with CNC horizontal boring machines and/or Heidenhain control systems is a plus but not essential.
