CSCS Landscaping Operative/Grounds Maintenance Operative

V-Recruit are currently recruiting, for a Landscape Gardener/Grounds Maintenance Operative with CSCS card, and full UK driving licence to start work near Lancaster in the coming weeks.

Our client are a leading Soft Landscapes and Grounds Maintenance provider, who work nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular landscaping duties and grounds maintenance tasks, including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
• Plant, cultivate, and maintain garden beds, ensuring healthy growth of flowers, shrubs, and trees.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for various groundskeeping tasks.
• Dig holes for planting or other landscaping projects as required.
• Irrigate plants and lawns appropriately to promote healthy growth while conserving water.
• Build and maintain structures such as fences or garden beds as needed.
• Conduct routine inspections of the grounds to identify areas needing attention or repair.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of tools and equipment used in grounds maintenance.

Skills

• Proficient in the use of hand tools such as shovels, rakes, and pruners.
• Experience with power tools including ride on and pedestrian lawnmowers, trimmers, and blowers is highly desirable.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues as they arise.
• Ability to dig effectively for planting or landscaping purposes.
• Familiarity with groundskeeping practices and landscape maintenance techniques.
• Capability to irrigate plants effectively while adhering to water conservation practices.
• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in maintaining outdoor spaces.

The right candidate must have their CSCS card, and full UK driving licence (with no more than 6 points)

You must have your own PPE

14.10 per hour

39-50 hours per week

Ongoing, potentially temp to perm work for the right candidates
