Semi Skilled Plant Mechanic

POSITION: Semi-Skilled Fitter

FUNCTION: To ensure a variety of small plant & tools are serviced and maintained to a high standard and the appropriate safety checks are carried out in readiness for hire

LOCATION: Kimarnock

REORTING TO: Workshop Foreman

• Servicing and maintaining a variety of small plant and tools
• Diagnosing and repairing faults on a range of petrol, diesel and electrical equipment
• PAT Testing of small electrical tools
• Maintaining comprehensive records of all repairs and servicing activity
• Conduct safety checks and report any concerns to the Workshop Foreman/General Manager
• Assist with general workshop duties
• Driving duties during holidays and periods of absence.
• Ensure workshop is clean, tidy and well organised

• Top 50 tools maintained, serviced and tested ready for hire at all times
• Minimal customer complaints due to standard and quality of equipment
• Yard and workshop kept clean and tidy
• On-going Management appraisal
