Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Glasgow, Scotland

About Us:
Contract Scotland is working with a leading provider of logistics, construction, and civil engineering solutions in Central Scotland. With a proud heritage and a reputation for delivering quality projects safely, on time, and within budget, we are now looking to expand to their Construction Division with the addition of a talented Quantity Surveyor based in the Glasgow office.

The Role:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management of a variety of infrastructure and construction projects. You will be involved from tender stage through to final account, ensuring maximum value is delivered while managing costs and risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, submit, and manage interim and final valuations

  • Monitor and control project budgets and costs

  • Prepare and negotiate subcontractor packages

  • Evaluate and manage variations, claims, and change control processes

  • Liaise with project teams, clients, and supply chain partners

  • Ensure compliance with contractual and legal requirements

  • Produce accurate reporting and forecasting

Requirements:

  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar construction discipline

  • Proven experience in a Quantity Surveyor role, ideally on groundworks packages

  • Strong commercial acumen with good negotiation and analytical skills

  • Familiarity with NEC and other standard forms of contract

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Full UK driving licence
